Help with ingrained dirt on Ceramic tiles
Asked by Sandra Armitage from Halifax:
I have just read above that ceramic tiles aren't porous which I thought ours were. We have just moved house and the bathrooms both have what I thought was porous tiles. The dirt seems to be ingrained in the tiles, they are a shaded light beige. We have tried everything but nothing seems to get them thourghly clean. HELP!
TileProf says:
Ceramic Tiles are glazed and this stops the dirt getting in, Quarry Tiles however are not and they can get dirty quite quickly if not sealed before hand. If you are having trouble with them I would first try Tile Doctor Pro-clean, scrub with this, then rinse with water and leave to dry, then apply a few coats of Sealer, Seal and Go works well with Quarry Tiles, if you are not sure which yours are, send us a picture via e-mail and we can identify them for you.
