White residue on tile from washing machine leak
Asked by Glynn Cooper from Derby UK:
Hi Had a washing machine leak that has left our slate floor tiles with a kind of white residue on top, tried normal tile cleaners, etc but to no avail. The water has dried out now. What cleaner could you recommend? Many thanks
TileProf says:
Best to re-seal the Tiles with the original sealer, you have to strip off the old sealer on that Slate first however to get a good result, you can use Tile Doctor Remove and Go for this purpose, make sure none of it touches the other Tiles, otherwise it will strip the sealer of them as well, rinse with water, leave to dry overnight and re-apply the original sealer for compatibility.
