Seal before grouting
Asked by Dell Henrickson from Aberdeen:
Have a entrance hall with original victorian tiles. Can you let me know if i clean and seal before grouting? Or grout first? Or clean seal grout then clean and seal again?
TileProf says:
Most Tile Shops will say Seal before Grouting, but we find that advice only works well on Stone, for Victorian Tile I would Grout first, give them a good clean with a slightly damp sponge and leave to dry overnight and then start sealing the next morning, Seal and Go is very good with these Type of Tiles, it gives them a nice low sheen finish.
