tile matching
Asked by Rachel Wilby from Derbyshire:
I am trying to match limestone floor tiles for an extension recently completed, I have found the same tile but when placed next to the existing ones which have been down for 10 years there is a noticeable colour differential. The new tile has the same grain effect but is a few shades lighter, will sealing the tilealter the colour ? And should I reseal the old tiles ?
TileProf says:
Hi Rachel, All Stones are natural, so the best answer is to get samples from the Tile Shops and see which is the closest, sealing may help especially a Colour enhancer such as Tile Doctor Colour Grow. Regards Russell at Tile Doctor Russell Taylor Tile Doctor Ltd
