Dog pee staining
Asked by Steve B from Sussex:
Having had a nice new granite floor laid in the kitchen, we now have a problem where one of the dogs has urinated on the floor and it has left a ring stain. My solution is to get rid of the dog but my wife seems not to agree! Is there a suitble product available, and should we seal the floor to prevent further problems? Hope you can help. Many thanks.
TileProf says:
Hi Steve, Dob Pee < Uric Acid > is 50 times stronger than Human Wee, as such it can cause a lot of damage to a Natural Stone Tile like Granite. You will need to have it Grinded and re-polished to get this back to normal again, if so click here and fill out the form and we can send out a Tile Doctor to do it for you. http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/HomeService.
