porous tiles
Asked by sean from Ackworth, west yorkshire:
Hello, I have used remove and go plus pro clean on my old Victorian floor with little effect. The floor just soaks up any moisture including your products. It seems like I need to soak up the years of dirt. I haven't used a wet n dry machine yet. I am wondering whether the nano cleaning product with pro clean as suggested on your website but I'm sure the floor will still soak it up. Your advice would be welcomed.
TileProf says:
Hi Sean, We use Remove and Go and Nano-scrub mixed 50-50 for very porous Tiles like the ones you have, this will be down to their age and general wear so both these products are ideal used correctly as they make quite a thick substance and wont soak away as you said before. let it soak for at least an hour and then scrub the floor with some water, I would defintley recommend a wet vac for cleaning up the mess and then rinse and vac again just to be sure its all out, leave to dry for a few days and then try several coats of Seal and Go to get a nice low sheen finish.
