damaged victorian hearth
Asked by matt linnell from bristol:
We're hoping to restore a small, tiled victoria hearth. The tiles are quite cracked, and have lost sheen where cement has been scraped off. Is there a laquer or varnish that would be suitable to paint over to restore sheen and fill/bond small holes?
TileProf says:
Hi There, You can use a Grout to fill the cracks, this works fine for these Type of Tiles a resin looks a bit odd with Victorain flooring. Try Seal and Go to restore the shine, 4 coats of Seal and Go will help with that. Regards Russell at Tile Doctor http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/TD-Seal-Go.html Russell Taylor Tile Doctor Ltd
