Discolored Grout
Asked by Noel R. from Fort Worth, TX:
Hi- I had a new shower installed about a year ago and I noticed that some patches of the grout on the shower floor still look great and are maintaining the original cream color and then other patches of the grout are gray. I don't know what type of sealer was used and it looks like the sealer was used everywhere. Could it be that the adhesive underneath the tile seeped up and wasn't wiped away? Or could it be that they mixed a different batch of grout and it's just a different color. Help! Thank you so much for answering our questions! Noel
TileProf says:
Hi Noel, Sounds like some areas could be getting a lot more splashes on them than other areas, as such they will need attention, try scrubbing some Aqua-pro onto the Tiles with a Nail brush, rinse off after using it.
