Correcting discolouration from cleaning spray
Asked by Jules from London:
Rushing to clean up a spill, I used a cleaning spray on a limestone floor. It's not my floor and it's caused white patches of discolouration. Is there any way to resolve this? Thank you.
TileProf says:
Hi Jules, Not an easy one to answer if you have no experience with these sort of floors, but it is either the sealer you have damaged < which needs re-sealing > or the Limestone, which will need re-cleaning, either way means using a Buffing machine a wet vac and eithe Twister pads or various chemicals. We have Tile Doctors who can cover this for you if you so desire, clcik here for a free Home Survey http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/HomeService.asp I would be carefull using anything else on Limestone as it is very senstive toAcids and strong bleach based cleaners. The best you could try for now is to clean the stained area with water, leave to dry and then re-seal this may end your problems, if not it will need to be done properly, clcik here for more info. http://www.tiledoctor.co.uk/Limestone.html Regards Russell at Tile Doctor Russell Taylor Tile Doctor Ltd
