Just had some granite tiles laid and whlst moving the fridge, one of the tiles has been scratched and a mark has been left. Any ideas on how best to restore the tile?
Tile Doctor Hi Sarah,
We don't provide this service but there is a German based company called 'A.R.T. StoneLux', their web site is www.stonelux.com, who sell a portable kit that can repair chips in stone. If you contact them they should be able to suggest someone in your area who can repair your floor for you.

I accidently used a heavy duty cleaner on a slate top in our bathroom and it has left it very badly marked. We have tried vanish remover in order to take the seal off and reapplied a new seal, but the marks are still there. Is there anything else we can try to get rid of the marks.
Tile Doctor Hi Toby,
Sounds like the slate is highly polished, if that was the case then you have to be very careful what products you have used as the only way to get the polish back and get rid of the marks is to regrind it and re-polish it, which would have to be done by a professional. You should be able to find one in your local yellow pages under marble and granite polishing.
